The revival of the Adidas Stan Smith Womens this year led to a string of awesome colabs in 2014, but we never would’ve imagined this collaboration in the works! Now that it’s actually happening, it seems like such a no brainer for American Dad’s Stan Smith to release his own Adidas Stan Smith Mens model in a move of cross-branding genius. The shoe keeps to the original; with the classic smooth grain leather atop the simple white rubber sole, but updates on the tongue logo and insoles that feature the popular cartoon character completes the tongue-in-cheek colab.
Opening Ceremony brings us the third chapter of their take on the classic Adidas Stan Smith Sale silhouette, and it features a straight trippy almost three-dimensional diamond pattern with hands stretching through covers the shoe. An off-white rubber sole serves a nice contrast against the bonkers upper and grey premium full grain leather detailing on the heel and Opening Ceremony-branded tongue tab is a nice touch.
Paris’ Colette have stepped up to the adidas Originals colab plate to take a subdued swing at the court classic and recently resurrected Adidas Stan Smith Cheap. True to all things Colette, the silhouette features an all white base with a bit of Colette Blue popping off the heel tab, toe and tongue detailing. This is a limited release with only 100 pairs going to retail so best jump at them if you’re interested.
